Active since 1958!

Automator has been active in the field of industrial coding, marking and labelling solutions for the food and non-food industries since 1958. A few years ago we began extending our range to include a new product group, namely in-line inspection solutions. As an innovative company, we are constantly on the lookout for the latest developments in our areas of expertise.

From our base in Rotterdam, we work throughout the Benelux, and we also provide installations and services to the rest of Europe for some of our international clients. As a medium-sized business, we can guarantee you speed, flexibility and good service.

In-house engineering

In-house engineering in the fields of software, electronics and mechanics allows us to deliver tailor-made solutions. In our workshop, we adapt the labelling system to your production process. Then, we take care of installation, training and servicing on-location. Our Technical Service has a thorough knowledge of the machines.

Our Service Engineers are also ready to jump into action in the event of a malfunction. You can rest assured that they will do everything to keep any inconvenience caused to a minimum!

Consumables usually available in stock

At our location at business park Spaanse Polder in Rotterdam, we have, in addition to our own workspace and engraving workshop, a warehouse in which we keep common consumables and components in stock. These include thermal transfer ribbons, hot foil ribbons, labels, inks, metal plates and so on.

What if, despite our careful inventory management, we haven't got what you're looking for in stock? We will do our very best to help you as quickly as possible.

Unique: our own engraving workshop

We are proud of our company. A major reason for this is our own engraving studio. We are one of the few companies that is able to make standard stamps as well as custom stamps in house. Thanks to our experience, which has grown continuously since our company was founded in 1958, we are able to create the most varied and special stamps.

Aviation Parts Manufacturer

The manufacturer came to Automator, looking for a solution for adding coding to all components of a turbine. The customer was offered the following solution: SIC marking machines for coding a data matrix and a text. A number of standard machines were delivered as well as machines with special tools in order to provide coding on difficult-to-reach places.

Frozen vegetables producer

The producer has been a client of Automator’s for over 10 years. The primary packaging of the frozen vegetables receives coding from a Zodiac Thermal Transfer Printer. The outer packaging receives coding from a Torus inkjet printer.

Seed Breeding Company

When the seed breeding company decided to set up an extra packaging line, Automator, already a partner of the company, was asked to work together to come up with the right kind of line. The variable information varies from batch to batch. In order to be as flexible as possible, it was advised to apply the labels onto the packagings in stages. To make sure that the packagings don’t stack up due to the printer not printing fast enough, a two-headed printer was installed.
