Bejo is an international family business engaged in the breeding of vegetable seeds. With 1900 employees and offices in over 30 countries, they breed, produce and sell vegetable seeds.

Tailor-made print solution
Bejo has chosen a printing solution from Automator to print its packaging boxes on two sides.
Automator has built and installed the complete solution for Bejo:

  • The speed of the conveyor belt is adjustable. The speed is currently fixed at one value, matching the input rate of the boxes at Bejo.
  • A Torus 501+ box printer has been mounted on both sides of the conveyor in a stainless steel spring-mounted box guide system.
  • To check the printed barcode, a Datalogic scanner is placed behind the printer on both sides.

By placing the printers in a spring-mounted frame on the conveyor belt, a constant fixed printing distance between the printer head and box is achieved. And that results in a high quality print on the box.
